Trip Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from our professional driver-guide at Kigali International Airport or your hotel. Before heading north, enjoy a guided tour of Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and most vibrant capitals. You’ll visit landmarks such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local art galleries, or craft markets—an insightful introduction to Rwanda’s rich culture and history.
After the city experience, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park in the Musanze region. The journey takes you through Rwanda’s breathtaking countryside—rolling green hills, terraced farms, and misty volcanoes.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, enjoy a delicious lunch or early dinner, and relax as you prepare for the thrilling gorilla encounter the next day.

Rise early for a hearty breakfast and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing. Here, park rangers will share essential information about gorilla behavior, trekking etiquette, and assign you a gorilla family group to track—based on your fitness level.
Accompanied by expert guides, you’ll begin your trek into the dense bamboo forest. The hike can take between 1 to 4 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. When you find them, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures up close—watching them play, groom, and go about their daily lives in the wild. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that few are privileged to witness.
After the trek, return to your lodge to rest, share stories over dinner, and enjoy the tranquil forest setting.

After breakfast, hike through the forest to Dian Fossey’s research center and grave site, nestled between Mount Karisimbi and Mount Bisoke. Your guide will share insights about her life and the ongoing efforts to protect these endangered primates.
Later in the day, you can visit the nearby Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for an enriching cultural experience—learn traditional dances, visit local homes, and discover Rwanda’s heritage.
Return to your lodge for dinner and a quiet evening.

After lunch in Kigali, you’ll be dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your onward flight or transferred to your hotel if you’re staying longer in Rwanda.
