If time allows, take an optional guided visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a moving tribute to Rwanda’s history, followed by a brief city tour to explore Kigali’s vibrant neighborhoods and markets.

You’ll then cross the Katuna border into Uganda, stopping in Kabale town for lunch. From here, the road winds through misty hills and lush countryside en route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive in time to relax at your lodge and prepare for tomorrow’s unforgettable gorilla trekking experience.
