Trip Itinerary

Day 01 : Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Evening Game Drive

Your safari begins when your guide from Bamba Safaris picks you up from your hotel in Kampala, Entebbe, or Mbarara. After a short briefing, begin the scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park through Uganda’s countryside.

Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and demonstrations of the famous water experiment. You will also visit Mpambire village where traditional royal drums are made using ancient techniques.

Continue the journey to Lake Mburo National Park and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. After some relaxation, head out in the late afternoon for your first game drive. During this drive you may see zebras, impalas, topis, buffaloes, warthogs, and other wildlife as the sun begins to set.

Look out for herds of zebras, elands, impalas, buffaloes, waterbucks, and many bird species. With some luck, you may also spot a leopard or the occasionally seen lion.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before heading to Lake Mburo for an afternoon boat cruise. During the cruise, watch hippos and crocodiles in the water and observe a variety of birds including African fish eagles and the rare African finfoot.
