Trip Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will receive a warm welcome from your professional driver-guide who will transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you will begin an insightful Kigali city tour.
The tour includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, an important historical site that honors the victims of the 1994 genocide and promotes peace and reconciliation. You will also visit a local market where you can experience the vibrant daily life of Kigali and interact with local vendors.
Later in the day, enjoy a scenic horseback riding experience on Mount Kigali, offering beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding hills and the city.
In the evening, return to your hotel and enjoy dinner before resting for the night.

After breakfast, depart Kigali and drive east toward Akagera National Park. Along the way, stop for an Imigongo Art Tour where you will learn about this unique traditional Rwandan art form made using natural pigments and cow dung. This cultural visit offers an interesting insight into Rwanda’s artistic heritage.
Continue the journey to Akagera National Park and arrive at Lake Ihema in the afternoon. Here you will enjoy a relaxing boat safari where you may see large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and herons.
Later, transfer to your luxury tented lodge located inside the park where you will enjoy dinner under the stars and a peaceful night in the wilderness.

Wake up early for an exciting morning game drive through the diverse landscapes of Akagera National Park. The park features rolling savannah plains, woodland areas, wetlands, and scenic lakes.
During the game drive, you may spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and several predator species including lions and leopards. Akagera is also home to recently reintroduced black rhinos, making it Rwanda’s only Big Five national park.
After the game drive, enjoy a packed bush lunch before beginning your return journey to Kigali. Upon arrival, your guide will drop you off either at Kigali International Airport or at your hotel.
