Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your private driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day exploring Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant and modern capital city.
You may visit local craft markets and art galleries, learn about Rwanda’s history at cultural museums, and enjoy authentic Rwandan cuisine at one of Kigali’s popular restaurants. This introduction to Kigali offers a glimpse into Rwanda’s culture and history before your rainforest adventure begins.

After breakfast, depart Kigali and begin the scenic journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park in southwestern Rwanda. The drive takes you through Rwanda’s picturesque countryside, passing rolling green hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages.
Along the way, you may stop at scenic viewpoints for photos and to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival at Nyungwe, check in at the luxurious One&Only Nyungwe House, located within a beautiful tea estate near the forest.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the peaceful environment surrounding the lodge.

Wake up early for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Nyungwe Forest National Park. After a briefing from park rangers, head into the forest with experienced trackers in search of chimpanzee groups.
The trek takes you through lush rainforest trails rich with orchids, ancient trees, and unique plant life. As you move deeper into the forest, you may hear the calls of chimpanzees echoing through the trees.

Today you will experience one of Nyungwe Forest’s most famous attractions—the canopy walkway. Suspended more than 50 meters above the forest floor, the walkway offers spectacular views across the rainforest canopy and surrounding mountains.
From this unique vantage point, you may spot forest birds, monkeys, and other wildlife while learning about Nyungwe’s rich biodiversity and conservation efforts from your guide.
After the canopy walk, you may choose to explore additional forest trails on guided nature walks through Nyungwe’s extensive network of hiking paths.
