Trip Itinerary
Your safari begins with a transfer from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala to Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight to southwestern Uganda.
The flight to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip takes approximately 1 to 2 hours and offers beautiful aerial views of Uganda’s countryside, including forests, lakes, and rolling hills.
Upon arrival at the airstrip, your driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or explore the beautiful surroundings of the forest.
Later in the evening, enjoy dinner and prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the following day.

After an early breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing conducted by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.
During the briefing, you will learn about the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking. You will then be assigned a gorilla family and begin the trek into the rainforest accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers.
The trekking duration can range from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. The walk through the dense forest is an adventure in itself and offers opportunities to see birds, monkeys, and unique plant species.
Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching the gorillas interact, feed, and move through the forest is one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences in Africa.
After the trek, you will return to the lodge where you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
